Explore the collection ↗The Raise the Grain way
There is a feeling you get from something made by hand. The small marks, the honest grain, the sense that a person cared about every edge.
Raise the Grain is a small woodworker's workshop making furniture and everyday pieces from reclaimed timber and sustainable bamboo. We make slowly, thoughtfully and with materials worth keeping.

Our workshop is a place for sawdust, strong coffee and the quiet satisfaction of a piece coming together. Traditional tools sit beside modern machinery; old techniques meet thoughtful design.
Every board is chosen for its character. Every joint is made to be strong. We believe the best furniture is the kind that becomes part of your story.

Shelving / Made to order
Rustic yet elegant, each shelf is lovingly handmade from carefully selected reclaimed timber boards. We choose boards with history and age that still retain their integrity and strength, then finish them in Antique Oak or Natural Oil to bring out the beautiful grain, texture and character.
Every shelf has its own unique imperfections, wear and story — captured and preserved for years of visual pleasure. Made to order and usually shipped within 7 days.

Tables / Made to order
Each table is built from carefully chosen reclaimed timber boards, finished in Antique Oak or Natural Oil to draw out the natural grain and honest character of the timber. We make dining tables, benches, coffee tables, office desks and console tables — with solid square wooden legs or hand-welded steel frames.
No two tables are identical. Every surface carries the marks, texture and history of its past life, preserved and celebrated. Made to order in our workshop and available in any size.

Bamboo Furniture / Made to order
A contemporary furniture range built from sustainably sourced bamboo boards in a clean natural finish, combined with hand-welded steel frames and legs. Stronger than most hardwoods, naturally beautiful and kind to the planet — we make dining tables, sideboards, console tables, coffee tables and desks.
Each piece is made to order in our workshop and can be sized to suit your space. Steel legs are finished in matte black powder coat. Bamboo tops are oiled for a smooth, durable natural finish that only improves with time.

Kitchenware / Handmade
Each board is handcrafted from sustainably sourced bamboo, solid oak or hardwood, finished with food-safe natural oils or beeswax to bring out the full beauty of the grain. We make cutting boards, serving boards, charcuterie boards and grazing platters in a wide range of shapes and sizes.
Bamboo for a lightweight, hard-wearing everyday board. Oak and hardwood for rich character and a board that becomes an heirloom. Every piece is unique — made in our workshop, oiled by hand and finished to last.
Available in a range of sizes and materials. Tell us what you need and we'll put together the perfect board for you.

Material matters
Reclaimed timber carries a history. Bamboo grows back. We choose materials that feel good in the hand and sit lightly on the planet.
